Attorney / Licenciada Margaret R. Knight

I was born, raised, and educated in Indiana. I graduated from DePauw University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Anthropology and Spanish in 2011. Four months later, I moved to South India to work for an international human rights organization, International Justice Mission (IJM), as a legal administrative intern. I began my legal journey and career in India, working alongside Indian lawyers and paraprofessionals to investigate and prosecute bonded labor crimes, a form of human trafficking. The IJM legal team inspired me to become a lawyer, and I moved back to Indiana to pursue a law degree. I graduated from IU Robert H. McKinney School of Law and passed the Indiana Bar in 2017. I have worked as an immigration attorney at the Neighborhood Christian Legal Clinic in Indianapolis, Indiana and at Global Law Group in their Pasadena, California office, where I focused primarily on helping talented individuals and international companies with their employment-based immigration cases. I recently returned to Indiana again to open my own immigration law practice. My team and I look forward to meeting you and assisting you with your immigration case.

Nací, crecí y me eduqué en Indiana. Me gradué de la Universidad DePauw con una licenciatura en antropología y español en 2011. Cuatro meses después, me mudé al sur de la India para trabajar para una organización internacional de derechos humanos, International Justice Mission (IJM), como becaria legal. Comencé mi viaje legal y mi carrera en la India, trabajando junto a licenciados y profesionales jurídicas indios para investigar y enjuiciar los delitos de trabajo forzoso, tráfico y esclavitud de personas. El equipo legal de IJM me inspiró a convertirme en licenciada y regresé a Indiana para obtener un título en derecho. Me gradué de la Facultad de Derecho Robert H. McKinney de IU y fui admitida al colegio de licenciadas de Indiana en 2017. Trabajé como licenciada de inmigración en la Clínica Legal Cristiana del Vecindario en Indianápolis, Indiana y en Global Law Group en la oficina de Pasadena, California. Recientemente regresé a Indiana nuevamente para abrir mi propio bufete de abogados de inmigración. Mi equipo y yo esperamos conocer y ayudar con sus casos de inmigración.
